Disease Management

As the most accessible health care professional, pharmacists play an important role in assessing and helping patients with disease management. What this means is that you can have a consult or conversation with our pharmacists to see if your medical condition or chronic disease is being addressed appropriately. We also tell you when you have to seek medical attention from a physician or other health care professionals.

Below are only some of the conditions we help manage and assess:

  • Smoking Cessation
  • Sun care and sunburns
  • Fever
  • Common fungal skin infections
  • Yeast infections
  • Pink Eye
  • Ear wax
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Nasal congestion
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Head lice

and many more...

At our pharmacy, we check blood pressure readings and let you know if you're within target or not, based on your individual factors and medical history. We can also assess your diabetes management, figure out if your medications need adjustments, help you pick out your ideal blood glucose monitor, your ideal targets, and much more. We even help you come up with a Smoking Cessation plan to help you quit.

We are also pleased to provide annual influenza vaccinations, aka the flu vaccine at our Lake Shore location. Starting in the Fall each year, you can book an appointment or walk-in to get your flu shot by a certified immunization pharmacist.
